Silvair expands the lighting ecosystem driven by Bluetooth mesh
Silvair opens up an interoperable lighting control ecosystem by collaborating with the world’s most renowned lighting component manufacturers. Bluetooth mesh is now officially a standard solution for wireless communication and the time has finally come for the world to see a new generation of lighting products empowered by this technology. At the forefront of this lighting revolution are Fulham, Murata, McWong, ERP Power, Danlers and DG Light. Together we will bring to the market a wide range of innovative products designed for setting up smart lighting infrastructures in commercial spaces. Come and visit Silvair’s booth E80 in hall 9.1 at Light + Building 2018 to take part in the presentation of the above-mentioned products and our wireless lighting control technology.
“Addressing the needs of modern lighting control systems was a key requirement in the development of the Bluetooth mesh networking standard” said Ken Kolderup, vice president of Marketing at Bluetooth SIG. “We are delighted to see the rapid adoption of Bluetooth in the lighting industry, which will help accelerate the deployment of interoperable connected lighting systems that will serve as a platform for a variety of IoT services in the future“.
Both the lighting components empowered by Silvair Lighting Firmware and Silvair Platform for commissioning and managing connected lighting installations make for a complete solution that can be used by luminaire manufacturers for professional lighting applications. All of the above-mentioned products will be compatible with energy harvesting wireless switches created by EnOcean for quick and intuitive control of connected lighting systems.
“I am truly excited for all the changes in the industry that are about to happen because of smart lighting solutions based on Bluetooth mesh technology. As Silvair, we are happy to be supported by some of the world’s most renowned companies in the business. We are looking forward to presenting a vast number of high-quality products using our lighting control firmware as well as introducing our commissioning platform at Light + Building 2018.” says Rafal Han, CEO of Silvair.
Among the components that will be presented during the upcoming Light + Building 2018 trade show at Silvair’s booth E80 in hall 9.1 are:
Fulham’s 0-10V Bluetooth controller is a complete fixture controller designed for professional smart lighting applications. Equipped with a VAC Input, VAC Output, 0-10V Output, Sensor Input and BLE radio, it is a high-quality retrofit solution operating on Bluetooth mesh networking technology. It has turn on/off and dimming options as well as integral sensor support allowing for occupancy sensing, vacancy sensing and daylight harvesting lighting scenarios.
Sensor driven lighting
Murata’s Fixture-Integrated Sensor combines occupancy sensing, daylight harvesting, 0-10V dimming and Bluetooth® mesh radio circuits into a small cylindrical package that fits into various luminaires. When used with 0-10V dim-to-off LED drivers, it enables any lighting manufacturer to deliver wirelessly-controllable and sensor-equipped fixtures with minimal engineering effort. Murata’s Sensor-equipped luminaires just need to be powered and can be simply configured using the intuitive Silvair mobile app and platform without the need for gateways. The result is increased occupant comfort and significant energy savings that meet the most demanding building energy codes. By leveraging Bluetooth® mesh, the first wireless standard for professional lighting applications which ensures unmatched scalability and reliability, the wireless lighting control system can also be seamlessly expanded with Bluetooth® mesh-certified products and/or compatible Bluetooth® switches as needed.
PacWave is a lighting product group designed and manufactured by McWong, which is now empowered by Silvair lighting control technology based on Bluetooth mesh. The group consists of a top-of-the-line series of sensors, fixture controllers, switches and bridges ready to be used in creating smart lighting infrastructures.
ERP Power PSB50-CSB50 is a programmable constant current LED driver with tri-mode dimming. Up to 75% smaller than any other driver available on the market, driver enables alternate 0-10V dimming profiles: Linear, Logarithmic, Ballast type Mark7 (IEC60929, ANSI C82.11) and features a power metering option allowing to monitor energy consumption in real-time. It is perfectly designed for commercial, residential, architectural and outdoor lighting applications.
Danlers Ceiling Flush Mount Passive Infrared (PIR) Occupancy Detector & Photocell is a new generation sensor empowered by Silvair Lighting Firmware. Enabled with the Bluetooth mesh networking technology, it is a well-designed lighting component ready to be used in connected lighting infrastructures.
DG Light DALI DG457 is a well-crafted Bluetooth mesh enabled converter controlled by the Silvair App. Despite its compact form (40x80x24.45 mm), this device is perfectly designed to operate within lighting control systems. Having an input range of 90-264V AC, an integrated DALI bus power supply (10VDC 10mA max) as well as a protection grade IP20, DG light’s converter is an innovative tool made for setting up smart lighting infrastructures.
More information about the upcoming components and their functionalities can be obtained during the Light+Building trade fair on March 18-23, 2018 at the Frankfurt Exhibition Centre. Silvair will be presenting the interoperability of the above-mentioned products at booth E80 in the hall 9.1 together with the commissioning platform and its corresponding smartphone app.
